Willie Griggie is the owner of Hattie Marie's barbecue, and he's brought some of their menu items to us.
-
4
Okay, before we get to the food you got to tell me what made Hattie Mari's barbecue different from other restaurants.
-
5
Well, it's the style of cooking originally I'm from, Southeast Texas Port Arthur to be exact, my family's Creole⁽¹⁾, so we cook with that Cajun⁽²⁾ flair.
-
6
The seasoning is a little bit different than what you'll normally find in some of the barbecue restaurants here in Georgia.
-
7
Outside of that, it's special to me, because the restaurant was named after my mother, she passed away due to complications from cancer, shortly before we open. So that has a place near and dear to my heart.

I'm sure your mom will be so proud, so let's also get to the food, because I wish folks at home has smell-o-vision, it smells so amazing, tell me what you brought us today.
-
9
Absolutely, so in the center here we have our world famous Dino beef rib, next to it, is the smoked brisket.
-
10
Both of those are cooked low and slow for about 12 hours, and seasoned with our signature Hattie Marie steak seasoning.
-
11
Next to it, is the pork rib and pulled pork, besides we have mac and cheese and collard greens seasoned with smoked turkey.
-
12
All right so I've been to your restaurant, everything here looks amazing, but you have more to your menu than this.
-
13
Absolutely, well we have to give options for people that don't eat meat, so we added seafood, we have fried lobster tails, crab legs, shrimp, catfish, just to give a little bit of variety.
