Investigators say that gun is about 15 inches long, capable of shooting six projectiles at a time and was made from two metal pipes taped together similar to a shotgun.

Police say the suspected shooter confessed telling investigators he killed Abe because he believed rumors about the former prime minister's association with a religious group, he blamed for his mother's financial ruin.
