Authorities say at least one person has been killed, four others injured, the gunman apparently is still on the loose, and is considered armed and dangerous.

The Atlanta PD released these images of the suspected gunman, 24 year old Deion Patterson, moments ago police told reporters that Patterson opened fire while he was in the waiting room of the medical facility.

He then carjacked a vehicle and fled the scene. These images appear to show the suspect inside the medical center with a gun.

The shooting in Atlanta comes it's the U.S has now seen at least 190 shootings this year, that meet the gun violence archives definition of a mass shooting.

So to put that in perspective, Meet the Press now has been continually updating this map of mass shootings this year again, the definition being four or more injured, not necessarily killed but injured in one by one gunman.

Which just should not be American people should be able to feel to go to church, our kids should feel free and feel safe, and our teachers administrators should feel safe to go into a school. And right now we're seeing weapons of war on our streets.

Minutes ago Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock spoke about the shooting from the senate floor, and said that his own children were current where at the time on lockdown in their school in Atlanta.

I think that the unspoken assumption is that this can't happen to me, but with a mass shooting every day, the truth is the chances are great.
