    Expand background checks and enact safe storage and red flag laws to prevent guns from falling into the hands of people deemed to be dangerous.

    But even with a majority of Americans backing some of these proposals, any reforms in congress are likely to be far more narrow.

    At a hearing yesterday the bitter divide on full display. - Democrats are always fixated on curtailing the rights of law-abiding citizens.

    We cannot keep doing this, an entire generation of children are learning, that the adults they look up to cannot or will not protect them.

    But the first to do so, after these recent massacres in Texas and Buffalo, in Utah we know they are considering similar legislation in New Jersey.
